Bangor Academy Sends Shelterboxes to Haiti

Hati_Shelterbox_Appeal_Group_photoBangor Academy pupils joined the relief efforts for Haiti when they held a charity disco, dance display and raffle just before the half-term break. In total they raised £1000 to present to North Down Rotary who will use it to buy two disaster relief “Shelterboxes”.

Pupil acheivesBangor Academy Sixth Former trains for Expedition Lesotho.

Congratulations to this intrepid Year 13 pupil who has won the opportunity to join an ambitious three week expedition party to Lesotho. Dirk, a member of Gransha ACF Cadet Detachment, will join 60 cadets from Sea, Army and Air Corps to traverse the Drakensburg Mountains.
